Having trouble losing that stubborn midriff?
Join the club – so am I!
Why is it that everything bad tastes so good? I only have to glimpse a jam doughnut in the cake shop window and I’m salivating. Is there no defence against this debilitating weakness? None whatsoever, apparently. I might as well accept that I’m never going to be the athletic ten stone seven I long to be, and get on with it.
Greed, as we all know, is one of the Seven Deadly Sins. That wouldn’t be so bad, but I got saddled with the other six as well! What an unfortunate breed we are – the human animal. Wherever we go, we’re exposed to an endless series of temptations designed with the express purpose of tripping us up. The solution, it would appear, is to stay in more often. The TV bombards us with images of gastronomic delights, so compelling that we can only throw in the towel and head for the fridge!
